A few more steps

Caroline has started walking a little more. If it's too inconvenient to get down and crawl, she will now walk a few steps. She has been really enjoying her books lately. She will hand me a book and want me to read it to her. I will read the book and then she hand it back to me and have me read it again. This game will go on for, it seems, hours. She has started doing baby signs too. We started with baby signs (actually it's just American Sign Language) a few months ago. With some persistance, she has started to understand them and now does a few of her own. Her favorite is "more." She has awoken from her nap, so I must go. I promise to blog later!

Sorry for my absence

Things have been crazy around here. Caroline is doing very well (still trying to walk) and is very frustrated at with the whole walking business. Get up, fall down. She not so into the falling aspect, but she seems to enjoy being upright.

I have been very busy selling our stuff. Ebay and Amazon have become my new friends. I have been selling our books, dvds, baby clothes, and toys. It's nice to have something to do. On the plus side, I make money and don't spend it. I have made over $600 in just 2 weeks.

Hello everyone! 

The verdict is in

It was the alternator. Along with $400 worth of other things. (Battery, fuel pump, belts) When you add in Lucy's $200+ vet visit (she is better now), I would like to venture that we won't be eating out any time soon. Sigh. It could be a lot worse, I suppose.

Since the car is in the shop, we have Caroline's car seat in our living room. Caroline thinks this is great. She tries to get in it and sit then when I help her in, she gets out of the seat. It's a big game to her.

In other news, our apartment has been invaded by ANTS! There is a small gap between the door and the baseboard thingy and the ants have found a way in. After a couple of ant bites, anger got the better of me and I retrieved the vacuum from the hall closet and took care of the little suckers (pun intended). AND, to make sure that they never come back, I found the caulking gun and sealed every crack around the door. I have outsmarted them! For now, at least.
